The brain can ONLY run on one of two fuel sources: glucose or ketones. It’s a common misconception that the brain needs carbs.
Carbs are the ONLY macronutrient (there are three: protein, carbs, fat) that we do NOT need.
Eating keto – getting about 75% of calories from fat, 20% from protein, and <5% from carbs – is a powerful way to shed body fat and sharpen your brain!
Without access to glucose from carbs, your body turns to fat as its main fuel source. You begin to break fat down into ketones, little molecules that fuel your brain and curb hunger, and keep you lean while they do it.
How long is the Program?
Ketogenic Living 101 is a seven week program.
Do you have any other Programs?
Yes! Ketogenic Living 102 is for those who have successfully completed 101. In this program, clients spend eight weeks exploring different types of fasts, learning various effective ways to break stalls and plateaus. If you have completed 101, this class is now enrolling for you!
Do I have to buy any products from you?
Absolutely not! You are encouraged to purchase good, clean, whole foods.
Should I buy products that say they are "keto?"
BEWARE!! Not all products that display the word keto on the label actually are keto-friendly. As a matter of fact, the majority of them have ingredients that could stall your progress. But even worse than that, many of the ingredients are just not healthy for you. You will learn to be a label reader in my program!
